TheLilly Humapen II is a premium reusable insulin pen injector developed by Eli Lilly, a global leader in diabetes care. Designed for patients with diabetes who require daily insulin injections, this pen offers a reliable, ergonomic, and easy‑to‑use solution for self‑administering insulin. Its sleek two‑tone blue design is both professional and discreet, making it suitable for use at home, at work, or while travelling.
How to Use (7 Easy Steps)
Prepare the pen– Remove the cap. Pull the cartridge holder straight off the pen body.
Insert the cartridge– Place a new Lilly 3mL insulin cartridge (100 IU/mL) into the cartridge holder, with the rubber stopper facing the pen body.
Reattach the holder– Push the cartridge holder back onto the pen body until it clicks into place.
Attach a new needle– Remove the needle’s outer cap, screw the needle onto the cartridge holder, and remove the inner needle cap.
Prime the pen (air shot)– Dial 1–2 units, hold the pen with the needle pointing up, tap the cartridge to bring air bubbles to the top, and press the injection button fully until “0” appears. A drop of insulin should appear at the needle tip.
Dial your dose– Turn the dose dial until the desired number of units appears in the dose window.
Inject– Insert the needle into the skin at a 90° angle, press the injection button fully, hold for at least 10 seconds, then withdraw the needle. Dispose of the used needle safely.
